I saw Michael Jackson in Florida!!

As I walked around “Universal Studios” in Orlando FL, I see something that I hadn’t seen the last time I spent my summer here. I saw Michael Jackson!!....just not in person (lool). But I saw the King of Pop himself on the faces of t-shirts, i-Pod covers, on the “Hard Rock Café” sign, shoes (!!!), tattoos (!!!), bags and even saw MJ imitators on South Beach!! Knowing me I freaked out!! Never had I seen so many fans come and represent their love for Michael! Every little glimpse of MJ that I saw completely blew me away, leaving me with a huge smile on my face! I mean what can the haters possibly do now!? They must face Michael pretty much everywhere they go!

Even in “Busch Gardens” Tampa, his music blasted through the speakers placed around the park! While walking to the infamous coaster “Sheikra”, I stopped (literally)…I heard the rhythm…felt the bass…but I had to know for sure. “Dad, listen ‘Shake Your Body Down To The Ground’!! I can’t believe it’s playing!!”. And as I raced up the “Fast Pass” line to ride “Sheikra” (for the second time), “The Way You Make Me Feel” flew to my ears and of course I sang along! I didn’t really care about the people who waited in the “normal line”, or better yet the haters that waited in that line. “It’s to high to get over to low to get under!!” I chanted while I left the park because by coincidence, they played “Wanna Be Startin Something” nice and loud!!

Though I was extremely happy that Michael was being truly represented this summer, the one sad question that continues to rack my mind was: “Why do I see Michael Jackson 100x more than I saw him before June 25, 2009? Did they really not care about us fans?”

*Final Statement*: I find that people are to stuck on making “The Beatles” and “Elvis” more visible and audible to the public eye and ear, than the equally iconic Michael Jackson. I respect the Beatles but why can Paul McCartney see HIS face plastered on shirts and other “stuff” more than Michael Jackson could’ve seen while HE was alive? Follow me? BASICALLY!! Michael Jackson and his music was obviously not respected enough while he was alive. I’m pretty sure Michael would’ve liked to have a whole clothing line based on him…As the king once said “I’ve been a victim of a selfish kind of love…”.

with love...L.O.V.E
